2005 Redwood Empire Fair

This year our group received 2nd place in the informational display division at our local fair. We again had "Donna", the guide, and "George" his blind partner. The fair theme was "It's something to crow about!" so we decided that volunteering to raise a guide dog puppy for Guide Dogs for the Blind was really something to crow about!

Coleen and Debi made a beautiful wood sign complete with a painting of "Thorn", Coleen and Kris' guide dog puppy who recently returned for training.

Besides information on raising a puppy, the booth included information on blindness. Michael created goggles for fair attendees to try on simulating three types of vision problems.
